FEBRUARY'S MEETING was:
DECEMBER'S MEETING was:
This was our annual Christmas Holiday POTLUCK DINNER final meeting for the year celebration with a little business thrown in. Door Prize coupons passed out to members and even some for their guests. Admission is free. This was a true potluck. Members brought what they wanted such as: sugar cookies, eggnog, desserts, main dishes (meat, etc.), side dishes (beans, deviled eggs, cornbread, etc.). No sign up sheet, however, coffee, plates, utensils, cups, napkins were provided. This was not a planned nor organized event... it was as fun and as great as you made it. Just something we like to do to end our year. Some raffle items were donated... and members brought a few raffle items which added to the items.
In December Virginia tried something new for our raffle/door prizes. Sort of a "free" Chinese Auction of sorts with nothing to purchase. Tickets were given to be used to bid (place in jar in front of items) on items of interest. It turned out to fun and we got rid of a lot of left over and new raffle items to those who wanted a chance at winning particular items. Seemed to be a fun time.
